Carlos Ramirez is an entrepreneur with balanced experience in building companies from scratch and managing large corporations. A results-driven international executive, Carlos has 20+ years of hands-on experience crafting and implementing growth strategies for Fortune 500 companies across industries and developing profitable multi-million revenue streams in leading companies, as well as building, developing start-up companies.

Trained working alongside Sergio Zyman, the former CMO of the Coca-Cola Company, Carlos has worked extensively in many North American, European, Asian and Latin-American countries allowing him to gain a better understanding of the nuances that shape different cultures and their business implications in the region and within the US Market. Carlos also has previous experience not just as a practitioner but also as a strategic consultant with Zyman Group, and with McKinsey & Co.

Lately, Carlos has focused on leading Powerful Foods, the company that launched the first yogurt specifically designed for athletes, and now focused on all-natural, great-tasting protein products for athletes and active lifestyles.   

Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, Carlos holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas where he graduated Cum Laude. Carlos began his career in as at Procter & Gamble, where he worked in production and then marketing.

Throughout his years in the corporate world, Carlos Ramirez helped numerous organizations rethink their marketing strategy to engage new clients and reinvigorate their brands. Always looking for a new marketing challenge, Carlos found one in the yogurt aisle of the grocery store, where he noticed the lack of products marketed towards fitness enthusiasts. Determined to create the Under Armor of yogurt, Carlos launched a high protein yogurt branded with dark colors as the first product of his new organization, Powerful Foods. Today, Powerful Foods sells a full product lineup in nearly 10,000 grocery and specialty stores in the United States and across the world.
