In the News: 

  • Women in Leadership: According to recent research from Catalyst, a global non-profit supporting women in the workplace,  women are still less likely to aspire to leadership positions, even as the percentage of women in leadership roles grows to 31%. This new data showcases the opportunity for organizations like MCAAD to highlight new pathways to success. 
  • International Impact: Between 2019 and 2021, the economic activity spurred by international students attending America's colleges and universities fell by almost 28 percent — a decline of nearly $16 billion. The Bureau of Economic Analysis estimates that this trend will continue into 2022, with just $9.1 billion in economic activity in the first quarter of 2022, well below the $13.3 billion produced between January and March of 2020.
  • Optimism Remains:  A poll from MTV and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows that Millennials and Generation Z Americans are more likely to be optimistic about the future and their ability to create change than their older counterparts.
