As the first woman to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Way Worldwide – the world’s largest privately-funded nonprofit – Angela F. Williams knows about the dedication required to help others. Her father, a pastor and NAACP director for the state of South Carolina set an early example of moral leadership. After earning her J.D. from the University of Texas Law School, she served six years as an active-duty member of the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps and was an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Williams also has a Master of Divinity (cum laude) from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University. Prior to joining the United Way, Angela served as President and CEO of Easterseals.
