Vexta
It is a marvel how something so ordinary can become so extraordinary. New York-based artist Vexta reflects this in her exploration of the humble dandelion, painted in monumental scale and bright, bold colors. In her mural The Wishes, the dandelion isn’t merely a pest plant or weed; it is a universal symbol for the purest form of wishing. For Vexta, wishing isn't passive; it's an active force, an aspiration for the future.

She has rendered the delicate puffs of spent blooms in fluorescent pinks and yellows, drifting in a cosmic landscape—a star map of Washington, DC. This night sky creates a soft environment to invite a wish. Hidden in the painting on Level 3 is a special QR code that engages a digital wish activation, inviting the visitor to gaze out into an expansive wishing meadow and cast their own wish into the stars.
